ANY QUESTIONS?
Before the shoot...
What do I have to do?
First you pick a package. Then you book the time, date and location.
Where will you photograph my pet?
The location of the shoot is up to you. At the beach, at the park, in your house – wherever your pet is most comfortable.
How do I book a session?
Simply fill out the contact form. A $55 deposit is required within three business days to confirm your session.
How far in advance should I book?
The sooner the better. I accept only a limited number of sessions each month to ensure that I produce the highest-quality images and prints possible.
When is payment due?
Full payment is required before the day of your session.
On the day of the shoot...
How do I prepare my dog for the shoot?
Make sure your dog is looking its best. Clean their eyes of any muck, for example. It can also make a big difference if the hair around the eyes is clipped – the eyes are the most expressive part of the face.
What happens during the shoot?
Before I even bring out my camera, I try to bond with your pet as much as possible. Then I follow your pet around to try and capture the best moments.
What should I bring to the shoot?
Simply bring any of your dogs favourite treats and anything else you think will help your dog look it's best.
What if it's raining on the day?
I'll usually postpone to another more suitable day. I'll contact you on the morning of the shoot to confirm.
What if it's cloudy?
We don't need a sunny day as cloudy days work just as well for photos.
What about lighting the shots?
I don’t use studio lights or fake backdrops because I love natural environments, where your dog will be happiest.
How many photographs do you take in a session?
During your session I’ll probably take hundreds of digital photos.
What camera do you use?
I'm a Canon fan and currently shoot with the Canon 5D.
What lenses do you use?
A variety. A 25-105 f/4L is on my camera most of the time.
How long will the photo shoot last?
Typically 1-2 hours, though it depends on the personality of the dog. I'll take shots until I get the right ones.
After the shoot...
When will my prints be ready?
Allow 7-10 working days to print. You can then pick them up or have them delivered - it's up to you.
